Obituary: CHARLES F. ALLISON

Charles F. Allison, died suddenly at his home in Petersburg on Tuesday night, August 24, 1948, at 9:20 o'clock, Death was due to a heart attack.
He was born in Saltillo on Nov. 11, 1882, a son of Calvin Allison and Susan (Cutshall) Allison, both deceased. He had been a resident of Petersburg since early childhood. He retired from active service with the Pennsylvania Railroad Company as a signal maintainer on Jan 18, 1946.
Mr. Allison was a member of the Methodist Church of Petersburg. He was united in Marriage to Julia Anspach of Sept. 26, 1906, who survives with three sons: Frederick Allison of Alexandria R.D., Berlin Allison of Montoursville, PA, and Edwin Allison of Huntingdon. Also surviving are four grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Cloyd Lightner, Mrs. Cloyd Nolder, MRs. Clay Snyder and Luther Allison, all of Petersburg, and Melvin Allison of Williamsburg, R.D.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church at Petersburg on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o"clock, conducted by the Rev. Harry Witchey and the Rev. E.E. Kerstetter. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery at Petersburg, will be directed by Temple's funeral service. Friends may call at the late home in Petersburg after 12 noon Thursday until 11 a.m. Saturday, at which time the body will be taken to the church to repose until services.
