W. C. RITTER DIES AT HOME HERE TUESDAY
Former Resident of Oronoco, Where He Resided 38 Years, is Dead After a Short Illness
William Carl Ritter Sr., died at his home on Third avenue NW, at 10:45 yesterday morning. He had been ill only a week.
He was born in Germany, September 26, 1850, and came into this country at the age of 15 in 1865, directly to Chicago. It was there that he was married to Bertha Bobzin. From Chicago they went to Oronoco where they lived for 38 years. Four years ago they came to Rochester where he has resided until his death.
He is survived by his bereaved widow and four children: Mrs. Wm. Wenzel of Rochester; Mrs. Martin Rucker; Mrs. Herman Krause and William Ritter Jr. of Oronoco, and six grandchildren. He is also mourned by one sister, Mrs. Fred. Satore of Chicago, and three brothers, Robert of Denver, Ernest of Indiana, and Herman of Oronoco.
His wife and children were at his bedside when he breathed his last.
The funeral will be Saturday afternoon at one o'clock from the house and at two o'clock at the Saint Paul's church in Oronoco.
Interment will be made in the Oronoco cemetery.
