DECATUR - C. Thurman Becker, 83, of Decatur passed away Tuesday August 8, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital.

Funeral service in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial in North Fork Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Macon County Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy.

Thurman was born December 1, 1922 in Blue Mound, IL, the son of Floyd and Iona (Daniels) Becker. He married Dorothy Zook on February 21, 1944 in Portsmouth, VA. He had retired from ADM after 44 Â1/2 years of service. He was a W.W.II Naval Veteran having served on the USS Dixie. He was a member of the Church of God, a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion Post #117 in Cerro Gordo, IL.

Surviving is his wife Dorothy of Decatur, daughters: Cathy Becker of Channahon, IL and close friend Tami Sender, Shelley Garrett and her husband Charles of Decatur, Donna Cochran and her husband Jim of Long Creek, and Gina Becker of Decatur. Grandchildren: Wendy Garrett, Cody Garrett and his wife Kendra, Corie Book and her husband Keith and Dottie Foil and her husband Mark. Step-grandchildren: Kylie and Koleton Cochran Great-Grandchildren: Tristin Garrett and Tanner Garrett, Riley Foil and Tucker Foil.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
