Mary Florence Smith died Monday, April 28, 1980 in Huron. She was born near Industry to Samuel D. and Rachel Ray Kerby. On Aug. 14, 1907 she married John W. Smith in Junction City. He died Feb. 2, 1958. She was also preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.

Surviving are two sons, George Smith of JC and Ray Smith of Las Vegas; three daughters, Mrs. Harlan (Della) Grant of Marysville, Washington; Mrs. Ivan (Dora) Williams of Huron and Mrs. Al (Mary) Henton of Huron; 19 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be Friday at Highland Cemetery. Casketbearers include Robert Clowe, Earl Miller, Tom Miller, Herman Keithe, Max Foland and Jack Welsh.
