Joseph H. Edwards, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home southeast of Pleasant Mound, October 26, 1913.
Mr. Edwards married Miss Sarah Gililand who died eight years ago. Survivin are 11 children, Webster and Ben of North Dakota, charles of Mexico, Walter of Northern Illinois, Mrs. George Perkins, Mrs. Verse Sapp and Mary Edwards of Pleaseant Mound, Mrs. John Hodson of Mulberry Grove, Mrs. Hendrix Smith of Tamalco and Mrs. Lucy Garst of Girard. He also leaves a brother, D.G. Edwards of Pleasant Mound. Interment at Maxey Cemetery.
