Michael and his family came to America in 1773, by way of Rotterdam, on the ship "Brittania", landing at Baltimore on 15 Jul 1773, his wife having died during the crossing. Buried a daughter in Baltimore after they arrived and moved to Bedford Co., PA where they lived for 8 years. Then crossed the Alleghany Mountains and settled in Somerset County where Michael died at age 81.
