Information taken from the Pennsylvania Veterans' Burial Cards
Information obtained from a great grand step neice:
"George C Cribbs was born 8-5-1827 and died 11-14-1874. His father was Daniel Cribbs, and his mother was Eliza McQuiston. He was the proprietor of the "Homer House", a hotel in what is now Homer City, PA, it seems both before and after the war. He is buried in the Homer City Cemetery, that is now only identifiable by his wife's name, Isabella Devers. He lost a leg in the Civil war, but I haven't been able to determine where or how. He had 6 children, but I only have record that his boys went west."
