Mrs. Pearl Simmons, 84, 1522 South N street, died at 12:15 o'clock this morning at the Dickey Nursing home. She had been ill the past several weeks.
Born Oct. 26, 1880, in Bartholomew county, she was the daughter of William and Luella Stokes Pace. She was married to Ernest Simmons, Oct. 30, 1899. She was a member of the east Main Street Christian church.
Survivors include the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Boatwright of Monticello; a son, William E. Simmons of Elwood; a brother, Herman Pace of Elwood; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The body is at the Copher and Fesler funeral home where friends will be received after noon on Wednesday.
Funeral rites will be held Thursday at 2 o'clock at Copher and Fesler funeral home. Rev. Percy Thomas will officiate. Burial will be made in the Elwood City cemetery.
