Funeral for Ada Lea "Peg" Shively, 92, of Hartselle will be Sunday, March 21, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Eades officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shively, who died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton, was born Feb. 23, 1918. She is joining her beloved husband, Gordon C. Shively; son-in-law, Charlie Stevens; and granddaughter, Michele Dawn Champion, who are already with their heavenly father. Peg moved to Hartselle in 1980. She served as a foster grandparent at Crestline Elementary for 20 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Jan Goodwin and husband John Linda Cahill and husband Mike and Susan "Shelli" Champion and husband Jerry; her seven grandchildren, Michael Cahill Jr., Jenifer Smith, Erin Williams, Chris Stevens, Gordon Stevens, Melinda "Sam" Steadman and Scott Champion; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at NHC of Moulton for all the loving care they have given to our beloved Mother and Grams for the past eight years.
