S. V. Wood, life long resident of Williamsport, died at his home on Fall Street yesterday about 11 a.m. after a long period of illness. He was 67 years old and survived by his wife and one son, Freeman Wood, of Lafayette. He had been an ardent Republican all his life and took an active part in politics in Williamsprot and Washington Township. He served one term as township trustee. Funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday. Knights of Pythias will be in charge.
