Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a supervisor by the Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, New York. After his retirement, he was very proud of the fact that he attained his motor coach license and drove tour buses for Jim Lynch Tours in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania and Birnie Bus Service in Clinton, New York.
