Fred Lewis Rund
Funeral services for Ferninand Rund, prominent Otter Creek farmer, were held last Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at Holy Trinity Church. Mr Rund died last Monday morning following an illness of several years duration. He was bedfast only a few days before his death. The service was in charge of Rev GX Gorecki, pastor of Holy Trinity Church and music was furnished by the church choir. Casket bearers were Frank Podhajsky, Joe Psenica, Frank Posusta, Frank Rebik, Will Hala and James Rund. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Mr Rund was born the son fo Frank and Mary Cerney Rund, March 25, 1883 in Carroll Township, later moving with his parents to a farm in Otter Creek township, where he lived until his death. He received his education in the Otter Creek No. 3 school. Mr Rund was united in marriage with Frances Kadrmas May 24, 1904 at St Vaclav Church in Carrol Township. They were the parents of 3 sons, Ferdinand, who died in infancy and Albin and John, at home. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs John Cerney of Marshalltown; Mrs Joe Hushak of Clutier, and Mrs Joe Herink of Vining, and a brother James at Clutier. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr and Mrs Frank Veplupek, daugher and Edward Haydinek of Cicero Illinois; James Cecak of Grundy Center adn other relatives from Marshalltown.
