He was born on February 5, 1925 in San Bernardino and was a lifelong area resident.
Robert graduated from Redlands High School in 1942 and attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo until he was drafted in World War II, where he was wounded in Germany and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He worked for Sunkist Growers from 1947 until 1958, and was manager of Redlands Farming Co. from 1958 until 1972.
He was a member of the Redlands Elks Lodge where he served as Exalted Ruler in 1963.
Robert was past chairman of the Redlands Chamber of Commerce's airport committee and a former member of the San Gregornio Aero Club, was a founding member of the Good Guys Motorcycle Club in 1966, and was a member of the Redlands Noon Kiwanis and the Redlands Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Break of Redlands, his daughter, Donna Mead, his son, Robert Kenneth Break, his grandchildren, Joshua Evan Mead and Lindsey Mead, his 2 great-grandchildren, Carson Mead and Camryn Mead.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:00p.m. at Cortner Chapel, 221 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, CA.
Private entombment will be held in Montecito Memorial Park.
