Mary Elizabeth Knopp, 86, Finley, died May 12, 2006, at her residence. Born Sept. 15, 1919, in Marion County, Knopp was a homemaker and member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by: her parents, George Alford and Mary Belie Ray Craig; a daughter, Vickie Lee Brady; a son, Joseph Randall Knopp; and four brothers, Alonzo, Bernard, Hillman and Smith Craig. Survivors include: her husband, William Edward "Edd" Knopp of Finley; two sons, Eddie Arnold and William Donnie Knopp, both of Lebanon; three daughters, Harlene Abell of Finley, Veronica Brussell of Louisville and Mary Spalding of Calvary; a brother, Harold Craig of Finley; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held May 15 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Calvary, with burial in Our Lady of the Hills Church Cemetery. Rev. Lawman Chibundi officiated. Active pallbearers were Jimmy, Will and Dennis Knopp, Joey, Jeremy and Josh Spalding, Bobby Abell and Chris and Justin Brady. Honorary pallbearers were Anita Browning, Sara Smothers, Donna Benningfield, Lizzie Spalding, Amy Mattingly, Diane Marcy, Michelle Greenwell, Nicole Browning and Tiffany Smothers. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of the arrangements.
