Born on the 4th of December in the year of 1861 in Indiana to the parents of Dr Henly Allen and his wife Meldred Melvina McNeel 'Allen'.
Mason married at the age of 21 to Cora May Howard, on March 11th 1883. Together they had a son they named Mason Minor Howard jr.
Mason was riding his horse when a mishap happened when the horse jumped a ditch and Mason fell off and the horse trampled him to death. He died from ruptured blood vessels in his brain. He was only 22 years old. He leaves behind his wife Cora and a 7 month old son Mason jr.
He passed on the 4th of August in the year of 1884. Buried with with one of his brothers, Julius (1867 - 1880) Buried in the Columbia Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado.
