Beloved mother and grandmother, Mary Alice Wilson Sasnett, 78, of Lake Panasoffkee, died on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, surrounded by her family at Always There Assisted Living Home in Inverness. Alice was born on July 26, 1929 in Moultrie, Ga., the daughter of Allen Jackson Wilson and Vallie Mae Crosby Wilson Williams. While raising four daughters Alice also worked as a secretary for Kilgore Hardware in Tampa and later as an accountant for Shop 'N Go of Mango, Fla. Alice enjoyed attending church, gardening, accounting and photography, but above all, she treasured her time with her family. She was a lady who loved adventures and modeled the Golden Rule to all who knew and loved her. Alice moved to Lake Panasoffkee in 2000 from Seffner, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmer Sasnett on Oct. 20, 1989; her brother, Allen Jackson Wilson; and her sister, Dorothy Nell. Survivors include four daughters: Donna Sasnett Edmondson of Anchorage, Alaska, Karen Sasnett-Theuer of Anchorage, Alaska, Gayle Sasnett Reed of Oxford, and June "A.J." Sasnett Furnish of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Jean Cummings of Lake Panasoffkee; eight grandchildren, Gwen, Ryan, Adrien, Megan, Thomas, Jacob, Drew, and Jenna; and two great-grandchildren, Jazmynne and Salvatore Jr. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee with Pastor Jon King presiding. Burial will follow the church service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell
