Theodore Henry Ferner was the third, last and only surviving son born to Elisabetha Mary Fackler and John (Joannes) Ferner. He was born in Rochester, New York on 4 July 1862. He was raised in Rochester, New York, and after his schooling was completed, he clerked in a grocery store, became the owner of a grocery, and was very involved with his father in real estate in the 9th and 10th Wards of Rochester. He married Louise Eyer on 19 Nov 1896 and they had just two sons, John Theodore and Charles Bertram. Theodore died on 22 December 1928, in Rochester and was buried on Christmas Eve, 24 December 1928, in Mount Hope Cemetery.
