Last Rites Held at Sharon Church for Henderson Sullivan
MAGEE, June 14 - Final funeral rites were held from the Sharon Presbyterian church for Henderson Sullivan, life long resident of this section, who died at his home near Magee. Services were conducted by the Rev. J. L. Boyd, former pastor of Mr. Henderson, being assisted by the Rev. D. W. Moulder of Sylvarena and the Rev. L. D. Bassett of Bay Springs.
Mr. Sullivan was 72 years of age, a member of the Concord Baptist church and a Mason. He was one of the early settlers of this community, and has been a prominent citizen in this county for, a number of years.
He is mourned by a host of friends and relatives.
Surviving him are: his wife, and 10 children, Dr. W. A. Sullivan of Natchez, pastor of the Baptist church there, J. E. Sullivan of Toomsuba, K. T. Sullivan of Mize, H. C. Sullivan of Pelahatchie, C. E. Sullivan, of Mt. Olive, Mrs. Minnie Walker of Mize, Mrs. Lula Bishop of Ruth, Mrs. Victoria Wells of Mt. Olive, Mrs. Sarah Wells of Mt. Olive, Mrs. Cleves Sullivan of Mt. Olive and Mrs. Lilian Sullivan of Mt. Olive; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Tew [sic] of Cohay, and 22 grandchildren.
Interment was in the Sharon cemetery. Pallbearers were: M. C. Walker, B. T. Bishop, E. D. Wells, Alonzo Wells, Leonard Sullivan and Glaston Sullivan.
