---Delbert H. Allen, 80, of 7152 20 1/2-Mile Rd., died Wednesday evening, Nov. 17, at Leila Hospital and Health Center where he had been a patient for two days following a year-long illness.
---Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. from the Court-Putnam Funeral Home with the Rev. Capt. John Morrison officiating. Interment will be at West Eckford Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Court-Putnam Funeral Home.
---Mr. Allen was born Oct. 10, 1902, son of Henry G. and Myrtle (Hadley) Allen. He was a lifetime resident of Eckford Township, living all 80 years at the 20 1/2-Mile address. Allen was formerly employed with the Calhoun County Road Commission and retired in 1967 from the Michigan State Highway Commission.
---Survivors include two sons, Thomas E. Allen of Galesburg and Robert L. Allen, of Battle Creek, and two brothers, Freddie J. Allen of Reed City and Dale R. Allen of Addison. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Rowley, Grace Gardinier, and Virginia Baker, and one brother, Lorenzo Allen.
