Wurtsboro - Mrs. Alpha Retta Maxwell, widow of James Maxwell, died early today at her home in Mount Prosper near here. She was born August fifth, 1867, at Wurtsboro, a daughter of James and Hulda Lybolt Gordon.
Among relatives are a son, James, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Page of Middletown and Mrs. Caroline Lord of Rock Hill, and a brother, Ira Gordon of Wurtsboro.
Funeral services will be held Friday at Wurtsboro Reformed Church, with the Rev. John W. Tysse officiating. Interment will be in Sylvan Cemetery.
