Town's Oldest Citizen Dies
Funeral services for Allen D. Edgmon, age 89, pioneer citizen of this section and father of Sid Edgmon, chief of police of this city, who died at his home Sunday afternoon, were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon and burial made in the Foreman Cemetery west of town.
Mr. Edgmon was born in Tennessee on October 30, 1850. He came to this section some 43 years ago. He and Mrs. Edgmon recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
