CANTON - The funeral for Helen Beatrice Seifried, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Canton. The Rev. Leonne Worcester will officiate. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery under the direction of Haigler Funeral Home....
She was born May 10, 1902, at Cleo Springs to William and Mildred Robinson Day and died Monday, Feb. 15, 1993, at Fairview. She had attended schools at Wild Cat and Fairview. On Dec. 22, 1920, she married Lee Fred Seifried at Fairview. They lived on a farm west of Canton for 40 years. After his death in 1965, she moved into town where she lived until ill health forced her to move to the Fairview Fellowship Home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Canton Senior Citizens Organization.
Surviving are one son, Troy of Canton; one daughter, LaVerna Leis of Canton; two sisters, Lela Battin of Commerce City, Colo., and Juanita Pierson of Olathe, Kan.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and eight brothers and sisters....
