ROBINS, DOROTHY SUMNER MARTIN, died at home Thursday, February 14, 2008.

She was born August 31, 1920 in Birmingham, AL and was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Hubbell Sumner and Henry James Martin, two brothers, Henry James Martin, Jr. and Robert Levin Martin, and grandson William Todd Robins, all of Birmingham.

She is survived by her husband of almost 68 years, William Todd Robins, III; daughter Sallie Robins Johnson and husband James Milton Johnson; son William Todd Robins, IV and wife Lisa; grandchildren Sumner Johnson Rives and husband John, Milton Robins Johnson and wife Kate, Carter Martin Robins and Emily Frances Robins; and great-grandsons Grant Fisher Johnson and Douglas Robins Johnson.

Dotte graduated from Ramsey High School and attended Judson College in Marion, AL. She was Vice President and Board member of Robins Engineering/The Robins Corporation, the family company and predecessor of Robins and Morton. She was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church, The Amulet Club, The Ballerina Club, Coronets, and The Comida Encores Dinner Dance Club.

Interment will be Monday February 18, 2008 at 10:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at All Saints' Episcopal Church, Homewood, AL. Visitation with the family will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Choir at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 110 W. Hawthorne, Homewood, AL 35209.
