On August 8, 1936, in Lovelady, Texas, George and Alberta Robinson Sanders, became the proud parents of a sweet baby boy, whom they named Marvin Lee. He was the second of ten children.

Marvin attended and received his education at Center Grove School.

Marvin accepted Christ early in life and united with New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, in Houston, Texas. Under the leadership of Rev Nathaniel Lewis. He was baptisted and started his ministry. Later on he joined St Matthews Baptist Church in Crockett under the leadeship of Rev Elliott Reagans.

On April 12, 1956, Marvin Lee Sanders was married in Holy Matrimony to Reather Hamilton. To this union three children were born.

Marvin operated a Dump Truck Business for over 20 years, in 1985 he went to work for Hansen Inc. as a Heavy Equipment Operator until 2000, when he retired.

On January 10, 2009, in Lovelady, Texas, Marvin left this earth on the Wings of Angels. He is preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Robinson, sister: Dorothy Jean Mcgary, brothers: Douglas Close, Jr, Bennett Close, and William H Close.

Those left to cherish Marvin's many memories: Wife, Reather Sanders, sons: Marvin Lee,Jr and wife Carolyn, and Harold Lee Sanders; daughter, Elizabeth Lois Sanders; sisters: Willie Mae Norman, June Close, Ave Nell Close, and Sheila Clark and brother Jerry Close; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
