Maude Arcelia Hatch was the oldest of 6 children born to Elmer W. Hatch and Ellen L. Fuller. She is a direct descendant of Edward Fuller, Mayflower Pilgrim. (see Elmer Fuller in Wild Cherry Cemetery, Ranson twp, Hillsdale Co, Michigan) Maude married Homer Warren Sargent on Nov. 28, 1894 in Hillsdale Co, MI. They had 4 children. On July 7, 1907, at 30 years old, Maude died from "Shock caused by hemmorage from miscarriage at 3rd month". She is buried in Frontier Cemetery, Frontier, MI. Her husband lies with his 2nd wife, also in Frontier Cemetery, lot 126, (left of the left driveway). Maude's sister and brother are nearby, further back. She and Homer lived on Snyder Road about 1 mile north of Frontier, MI.
