Obituary:
Casmey – Earl, 54, of Rose Valley, died Nov. 7 in Hillsboro, Ore.
Surviving are; one son, Richard Casmey, Scio, Ore., four daughters, Mary Vaughn, Stayton, Ore., Helen Pacaheo, Sweet Home Ore., Carol Odom, Albany, Ore., and Sheryl Casmey, Porterville, Calif.; four sisters, Gladys Mason, Rose Valley, Carmella Gill, Kelso, Dorothy Bond, Lakeview, Ore., and Karen Taft, Gladestone, Ore., and his stepmother, Mrs. Clara Casmey, Longview.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10am., in the Ditlevsen-Moore Chapel, Kelso, with the Rev. Harold Schewe officiating. Interment will follow in the Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home.

Notes: During the the 1930's Earl worked at Long Bell Lumber Mill as a Mill Laborer in Longview, Wa. In the early 1940's he moved to McMinnville Oregon, to work at a local mill there, as a "Saw Sharpener", which was a highly skilled job which he performed well and enjoyed doing. Shortly after his death, another Mill called his sister Carmella's home and wanted to employ Earl, not knowing he had died. This person was very sorry to hear of Earl's death and said he was prepared to pay him very well because he was so highly recommended.
