Suggested edit: Eschiti Banner (Grandfield, Oklahoma). Thursday, August 29, 1907. Pg. 3.
The nineteen months old child of Mr. Roberts living 3 miles north east of Eschiti was bitten by a very large and venomous rattle snake Monday evening. The mother did not know that the child had been bitten for some minutes afterward but as soon as possible after discovering it Dr. Bruce was summoned but too late to save the little ones life. It died about 11 o'clock the same evening and was taken to Walters for burial.
