Ruth E. Hoffman, 82, Richwood died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in York Center, the Ladies Aid of the church and the Then & Now Antique Club. She was born march 15, 1928, in Richwood to the late Leo and Glayds Hanna Eddy Morrison and was predeceased by a sister. She married James R. Hoffman March 16, 1938, in Newport, Ky. and he died Feb. 15, 1995. She is survived by two sons, Jerry L. (Elaine) Hoffman of Raymond and Thomas L. Hoffman of Richwood; a daughter Joyce (John) Lydice of Raymond eight grandchildren nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary (Willis) Stewart and Polly (Donald) Fryman of Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Phyllis Radlinski will officiate and burial will be at the York Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community United Methodist Church stained glass window fund in care of the funeral home.
