JONATHAN FARMER was born 1806 in Herkimer Co., NY, and died 17 Apr 1866 in Leavenworth, KS. He married his 2nd wife, PARTHENIA LASH/LASHELL, after the death of his first wife, NANCY HENSON whom he married in Meigs County, Ohio in 1830. Nancy was born 1812 in Kentucky, and died on their farm on February 18, 1852 in Wilson Township, DeWitt Co., IL. Jonathan Farmer enlisted in the 9th Kansas Calvary in November 1861. He developed pneumonia while in service and was discharged for medical reasons on September 6, 1862. He had been suffering from pneumonia for 4 months at that time.
