Betty Lou (Giznsky) Bauer, 90 years of Ida, MI, died on Saturday, June 11th, 2022, at Brookdale Monroe Senior Living under the care of Elara Caring Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, from 2pm-8pm, with rosary at 7pm. Betty will lie-in-state at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida, MI on Thursday, June 16th, 2022, from 10am until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Father Robert Bauer will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida, MI.

Betty was born on May 6th, 1932, in Monroe, MI. She was the daughter of Andrew and Luella (LaVigne) Giznsky. Betty attended St. Mary's Academy. She married Joseph Bauer on December 2nd, 1950, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Joseph died on April 18th, 1993. Betty was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and Father Solanus Guild. She loved playing cards, casino trips, bingo nights, and bowling.

Survivors include: her sons Joseph (Lynne) Jr, Donald (Kathy), Ronald (Terri), and Father Robert, her sisters Donna Willaert and Maryann Carr, her grandchildren Christie, Lloyd (Anna) Jr, Angela (Ray), Rachel (Will), Donald (Krista) Jr, Brittany, Nicholas, Brian, Chris, and Tom and her great-grandchildren Olivia, Sophie, Antwian, Kyra, Wraina, Emmy, Sarah, Scarlett, Lilly, and Sparrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Mary Jo Knapp, her granddaughter Abby Bauer, and her brothers Andrew and William Giznsky.
