Mr. Michael Edd, a resident of Keller, Texas, formerly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, transitioned from life to eternity on Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Keller. The Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the Prospect Baptist Church, 2809 North Missouri Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Reverend Lee Cooper, Sr., the gracious host Pastor and Reverend Rozell Tottress, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For Convenience, visitation will be on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 10 AM until 7 PM at the McKay-Davis Mortuary, Inc.

Leonard Michael Edd was born on October 18, 1971 in Oklahoma City, an only child to Leonard and Dollzine Baylor Edd. Mike began his education at Villa Theresa Catholic School and attended the Millwood School System, where he excelled in football, track and basketball. After graduation, Mike attended Cameron University and from there enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his discharge from the Marines, Michael worked various jobs until he made the decision to enroll in truck driving school, where he obtained the necessary skills and licenses to pursue a career as an over-the-road, long haul driver. After several years of hard work, Mike eventually bought his own rig and worked even harder as an independent owner/operator. Mike eventually moved his family to Keller, Texas, where he continued in his chosen profession. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, R.J. and Robena Flenoid Baylor and prominent Tulsa Businessman, Frank Pennington, his fraternal grandparents, Reverend Leon and Lula Edd, aunts, Opal Pennington Newtona and Verlaska Brown. Mike leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shawanna; his sons, Darrin and Taylor; his daughter, Michaela; his parents, Leonard and Christa Edd and Jerry and Dollizine Baylor Posey; his father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Dorothy Reed; grandma of the heart, Jeanne Maxwell Long; brother-in-law, Derrie Scurlock; his aunts, Wilma Ladd, Doris Breshears and Lolita Cooper; his uncles, R.J. Baylor and Albert Gene Pennington; uncles and spouses, Leon and Tycene Edd, Ronald and Sharon Edd, Wendell and Penny Edd; and a multitude of cousins and friends. Services for Michael were held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 3:00 P.M. in the Prospect Baptist Church. Burial followed in Crown Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Tulsa, serving the family.
