Mr. Liendo was born in Bastrop, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo all of his life.
He was a veteran of World War II in which he served with the United States Army in Company A 337th Infantry Regiment 85th Infantry Division.
He was wounded in 1944 during the European Theatre in which he received the Purple Heart.
He was a highly decorated soldier.
He received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, The American Theatre Service Medal, The World War II Victory Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Tomas and Guadalupe V. Liendo, by his sisters Pauline Ortiz and Janie Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years of marriage Antonia M. Liendo. Sons and daughters, Grandchildren, 25. Great-grandchildren, 19. Brothers, Eduardo (Ninfa) Liendo and Felix (Guadalupe) Liendo both of Corpus Christi, Tx
