FT. PEIRRE – Mrs. Elsie L. Doran, formerly of Ft. Pierre, died Friday at Mary House in Pierre at the age of 94.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Congregational Church at Ft. Pierre with the Rev. Alfondso Cletto officiating. Burial will be in Scotty Philip Memorial Cemetery, Ft. Pierre.
Elsie L. VanLund was born Sept. 3, 1882, at Creston, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. John P. VanLund. She married George M. Doran Sr. in July 1909 near Burwell, Neb.
She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge at Ft. Pierre.
She is survived by one son, George, Aberdeen; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Mary) Craig, Rapid City; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and her parents.
