Harold W. Stroud, age 62, Eagle River, died July 26, 1964 at University Hospital.

He was born January 18, 1902 in Symco, the son of the late John and Martha (Arndt) Stroud.

On October 20, 1922 Harold was united in marriage to Bernice Long, daughter of George and Margaret Bumhauer Long. She survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include seven daughters, Winnifred (Lawrence) Simpson, Hopkins, MN, Maxine (Curtis) Inderdahl, Wittenberg, Beverly (Norman) Seever, Turtle Lake, Shirley (Duane) Ritschke, Oshkosh, Gayle Stroud, Hopkins, MN, Rosalie (Elmer) Truch, Beaver Dam and Cindy Stroud, at home; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Yonker, Eagle River and Mrs. John Stone, Madison; two brothers, Junie (Ida) Stroud, Wittenberg and Clifford Stroud, Bear Creek.

Harold was preceded in death by one son, Gordon and one daughter, Arvis in infancy.

Funeral services were held July 29, 1964 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Carl Musall officiated. Interment was in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg.
