Capt. Fredrick C.Lord served with the 3rd New York Vol. Cav. Co.C During the Civil War of 1861-65 And Later during the War with Spain (1898-99) He was A Colonel and Pay master for all the U.S. Volunteers at San Francicso CA. He was also elected to the State Senate in 1896 and again in 1902
He was a well respected citizen of Virginia City NV. And served as the Local Masonic Leader for some time until his Death. Please see the News Paper Clippings about his death. Just Click on the Extra Photos Button.
He is Burried with his Wife and Infant child near a large Pinon Pine Tree,
The grave is surrounded by a small wrought iron fence, The Gate still works but be careful as it is loose.
