Margaret L Hughey was born May 29th, 1859, in Clayton County, Georgia, the child of Ephraim George Copeland Hughey and Sarah Jane Ann Jones Hughey. She married William Andrew "Alec" Wright on 5 Dec 1876 in Carroll County, Georgia. They made their home in Carroll County and had eight children in 16 years. She died on October 15, 1929, in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 74. On October 15th, her daughter, Ruth, was with her when a train struck their car. Ruth and her Mother both died of internal injuries.
