He was born to Dr. Benjamin Robinson Sr. and Eliza West Pearce, whom are also buried here. He was a peacetime commanding officer of the village volunteer militia unit, the Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry. VP of NC State Medial Society and acting surgeon for the Fayetteville arsenal for most of the Civil War. Graduate of the Fayetteville Academy and Jefferson Medical College in Charleston. On 25 May 1836 he married Joanna Ann Huske. They had 8 children.
