A former resident of Ballard County, Mr. Carman died at his home at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Survivors include four sons, Alton Carman and John Carman, both of Braidwood, Abraham Carman of Dwight, Ill., and Herbert Carman of Wilmington, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Fissinger and Mrs. Sterlean Greene, both of Braidwood, Mrs. Bobby Jane Wall of Bracevllle, Ill. and Mrs. Ruby Goldsberry of Wilmington: two brothers, Tom Carman of Boaz, and Joe Carman of Colterville, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Roxie Beasley of Wilmington; 25 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
