J. E. GARDNER, FURNITURE MERCHANT, DIED SUNDAY

J. E. Gardner, who has for several years conducted a furniture business in West Queen street, died Sunday night in a hotel at Orlando, Fla., following a long illness. About four months ago Mr. Gardner went to Florida with the hope that a change of climate would restore his health. He was accompanied by his wife, who was with him when the end came. Mr. Gardner was 45 years old and was born in Leesburg. He was an active member of the Seven Day Adventists church. He is survived by his widow and two children, Miss Izetta Gardner and Roscoe Gardner.

The remains will be taken to Leesburg for burial.
