Frank A. Braun
Mr. Braun, 85, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died March 30 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Moersch, Germany, he was a longtime resident of Lincroft. Mr. Braun was a senior technician aide at Bell Labs, Holmdel, for 47 years, retiring in 1986. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Red Bank; a charter member of the Lincroft First Aid Squad; a life member of Lincroft Fire Company; and a member of the Red Bank Elks Lodge No. 233. He was a former member of the Middletown Township Board of Education and the Monmouth County Juvenile Conference Committee. Mr. Braun was predeceased by a grandson, Peter Joseph Braun. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maxine Maxon Braun; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Amelia Braun of Geneseo, N.Y., Deborah and Wayne Diffenderfer of Wellsboro, Pa., and Ellen and Robert Etzkorn of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Bonnie Braun of Lincroft; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie and David Wirth of Malvern, Pa.; and 11 grandchildren. Interment took place at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangement.
