Whitaker on July 18, 1818, in Sanford, New York. They were the parents of nine children, John Whitaker, Squire Whitaker, William Harrison, Henry Decker, Rhoda Case, Justus Frank, Benaiah Gustin Jr., Catherine Cornelia and Emily Ogden Jayne.
