Albie Lorena Robinson was born September 21, 1862 near Tonica, Illinois. She lived in Illinois until the spring of 1878 when her parents moved to Butler county, Kansas, where on September 21, 1880, she was united in marriage to Lafayette Baird.
Mrs. Baird, with her husband and family, moved to Monte Vista in 1909, where she resided until 1922, when Mr. Baird's failing health forced him to seek a lower altitude, and they moved to North Carolina where Mr. Baird died May 4, 1923. Baird of Huntington Park, California; Adrain R. Baird of Monte Vista; Lydia Cordelia Baird who did at the age of 13 years; Charles L. Baird of Denver, and Thomas Edward Baird who died at the age of six and a half years.
Mrs. Baird united with the Baptist church at the age of sixteen, and had held membership in that organization for more than 56 years, holding membership with the First Baptist church of Monte Vista for more than 21 years.
