Mrs. Tell Tryon Called by Death

Mrs. Harriet Tryon, 68 years of age, died in the Freeman Greene county hospital at 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening. She had been seriously ill for the past week.

The deceased was born in Sullivan county on May 9, 1893, the daughter of George and Nancy Cooksey Buck. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist church, Dugger Order of Eastern Star, the Pochahontas Lodge, Eagles Auxillary and Women of the Moose, all of Linton.

Surviving are the husband, Tell Tryon; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Prose, Davisburg, Michigan; four stepchildren, Ancil Tryon, Linton; Frank Tryon, St. Louis, Mo.; Tell Tryon, Jr., Terre Haute and Mrs. Ruth Ash, Evansville; a sister Mrs. Georgia Andis, Carlisle route 2; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The body was taken to Newark Funeral Home in Dugger where friends may call after six o'clock this evening.

Services will be held from the Funeral Home at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. William Early, officiating. Burial will be made in Mt. Moriah cemetery.


She is the daughter of George Thomas Buck and Nancy Dell Cooksey.

She was married on March 14, 1908 in Sullivan County, Indiana to Alfred Earl Montgomery.

She was married on February 24. 1940 in Sullivan County, Indiana to Tell Tyron.
