Eliza E. (Thompson) Hendry was born near Houston April 23, 1847 and died March 30 1912, age 64 years, 10 months and 27 days. She was united in marriage to Martin B. Hendry Feb. 14, 1867. To this union were born 11 children of whom all were present but Mrs. Belle Goens, who lives in Nevada. She was united with the M. E. church when very young and was a faithful member as long as able to attend. Funeral Friday at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. M. H. Reynolds, of Oglesville, burial in the Houston cemetery. Besides the husband, nine children and 23 grandchildren she leaves one sister and three brothers to mourn their loss. She was a loving mother and a neighbor respected by all.
