He married Catherine Ann K. Schultz in 1867 and fathered Emlen F. (b. 1868, d. 12/03/68), Emma (b. @1870 - married James H. Swain), Anna Schultz (b. 09/03/72 - married Harry A. Eshleman), Sallie (b. 08/02/74, d. 09/28/75), Mary S. (b. 03/18/77 - married Christian Giles Smith), Clara (b. @1879, d. 02/28/80), John Schultz (b. 11/11/81), and Henry Clay Schultz (b. @1883). Cause of his death is listed as "gangrene of left foot," a side effect of "diabetes."
