VALLEY - Mr. James "J.W." Aaron, 63, of Valley died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services were planned for Monday, Jan. 8 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Frank Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery.
Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Aaron; two stepchildren, Elizabeth (Jamie) Pippin of Lanett and Mary (Richard Moore) Pepper of Hogansville; his parents, Lurline S. and Andrew W. Aaron Jr. of Valley; five grandchildren, Rusty, Wayne, Megan, Erin and Hunter; several nieces and nephews; his mother- and father-in-law, Arthur and Lillie Johnson; and several aunts and uncles.
Mr. Aaron was born July 9, 1943 in Chambers County. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and he enjoyed fishing, old cars and cooking. Mr. Aaron was the manager of Superior Gas for more than 30 years. He was a wonderful friend to everyone, and if needed, he was always there for his friends. Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Aaron and his son, Du Wayne. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
