Hubert H. Nixon, 80, of Lavaca, died Tuesday, November 12, 1968 at his home. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Woodmen of the World. His funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. on November 14th at Lavaca Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; two sons, Herman and Harmon; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Graham of Fort Smith, Mrs. Fred Spencer of Lavaca, and Mrs. Opie Little Jr. of Indianola, Miss.; three brothers, W.W. of Lavaca, Henry of Seminole, Tex., and Waldo, of Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Augustine Gothard, Mrs. Ella Green and Mrs. Fannie DeVeney, all of Chicago; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Hickory Ridge Cemetery by Smith Mortuary.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Kenneth, Victor and Gary Nixon, Hugh and Bruce Spencer and stepson, Buford Vinson.
