Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Tobias and Hulda Cox Bright. Retired: Meadors Sandwich Co. Member: Pendleton Street Baptist Church.

Survivors: sons, Michael Atkins of Greenville, and Ronnie Atkins of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. today at Graceland West Cemetery, White Horse Road, with visitation following the service.

Memorials: Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 29605. The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
