Alva E. (Hap) Klingler, 80, died at noon Nov. 29 at Paradise Oaks Convalescence Center, Cloverdale. He was born March 14, 1911, in Paulding County, to Grover and Myrtle (Franklin) Klingler. On June 22, 1932 he married Anna E. Chester, who died in 1974. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Louise Sinn and Mrs. Beverly Oskey, both of Paulding, Mrs. Sharon Bailey of Cecil and Mrs. Shirley Reece of Napoleon; a son, Burl Klingler of Hicksville; a brother Glen Klingler of Oakwood; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Tempel and Mrs. Edna Shaffer, both of Oakwood and Mrs. Bernice Link of Chattanooga; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Klingler retired as a farmer and auto mechanic in 1974. He was a member of Paulding Eagles 2405 and the Paulding VFW Post 587.
