He enjoyed bowling, fishing and was very fond of Elvis Presley and his music.
He is survived by five sisters, Edna Hurst, Betty Rohrbaugh, Nancy Bengston, Linda Shafer and Wanda Shafer and numerous Nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nephews and in addition to his wife was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Ellen Horkey and two brothers, Bob Shafer and Roger Shafer.
Funeral held at Stauffers Funeral Home, Frederick with the Rev. Sandi Evans Rogers officiating and internment made in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Hansonville by Stauffers funeral directors.
